24/7 Live-In Care in Massachusetts, With Nurse Oversight Day and Night

When Your Loved One Can’t Safely Be Alone, Even for a Few Hours, You Need Care That Doesn’t Stop When the Sun Goes Down.

Aging parent care

Immaculate Homecare Services provides 24/7 live-in care across Massachusetts, with a nurse care manager overseeing every case from the first call. A caregiver stays in your loved one’s home day and night, so changes in condition are caught early, not the next morning.

Whether your loved one is coming home from the hospital, living with dementia, or needs more help overnight than family can provide, we build a care plan around their days and nights, with either a live-in caregiver or 24-hour shift care.

If your loved one can’t safely be alone overnight and you’re running out of ways to cover the gaps, you’re in the right place.

What Makes Our Live-In Care Different From Other Agencies in Massachusetts

Deciding a loved one needs care around the clock is one of the hardest calls a family makes. You need someone you can trust in the home, day and night.

Many agencies treat live-in care as a staffing problem: find someone available to move in, and the job is done. But falls, confusion, and sudden changes often happen overnight, when the caregiver in the home has no clinical support behind them and no one from the agency is checking in.

Immaculate Homecare Services was built differently. Our owners are nurses, and a nurse care manager oversees every live-in and 24-hour case. That means your loved one’s caregiver is matched to their condition and backed by clinical oversight, not just a filled shift.

24/7 Live-In Care Services We Provide

Round-the-clock care through Immaculate Homecare Services can be provided by one caregiver living in the home or caregivers in 24-hour shifts.

Our services include:

Overnight Supervision & Safety Monitoring
Personal Care & Activities of Daily Living
Nighttime Toileting & Repositioning Assistance
Medication Reminders
Meal Preparation & Daily Routines
Companionship Throughout the Day
Live-In or 24-Hour Shift Coverage
Private Duty Nursing for Higher-Acuity Needs

Unlike a live-in placement service, Immaculate Homecare Services can bring a licensed nurse into a 24/7 case when needed, including insulin administration, wound care, IV therapy, or coordination with VNA and hospice teams.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How much does 24/7 live-in care cost in Massachusetts?

Live-in care costs in Massachusetts typically depend on:

    • Whether live-in care or 24-hour shift care is the right fit
    • The level of acuity and any skilled nursing needs
    • Whether the agency has clinical oversight built into its model
    • Whether the agency carries liability and workers’ compensation coverage for its caregivers

Hiring a live-in caregiver privately may cost less upfront, but the family often becomes the employer, responsible for payroll, taxes, insurance, and backup coverage, without clinical oversight or skilled nursing support.

At Immaculate Homecare Services, we don’t publish fixed rates because every 24/7 care plan is different. Call us to talk through the cost and which option fits your family.

What is the difference between live-in care and 24-hour care?

Live-in care uses one caregiver who lives in the home and sleeps overnight. 24-hour care uses caregivers in rotating shifts so someone is always awake, which is better for people who need frequent help at night.

Where does a live-in caregiver sleep?

A live-in caregiver needs a private room with a bed, plus access to a bathroom and kitchen. If the home doesn’t have a spare room, 24-hour shift care may be a better fit.

What happens when a live-in caregiver has a day off?

Live-in caregivers need regular days off and breaks. Home care agencies typically schedule a relief caregiver to cover those days so care continues without a gap.

Can one live-in caregiver care for both parents?

Often, yes. One caregiver can support a couple when both people’s needs can be safely managed by one person. An in-home assessment determines whether additional support is needed.

Does Medicare cover 24/7 live-in care?

Generally, no. Medicare does not typically cover round-the-clock custodial care at home. Immaculate Homecare Services is private pay only and does not accept Medicare or Medicaid. Some clients use long-term care insurance to offset costs.
